From academic research to global cardiovascular imaging innovation
For more than two decades, CASIS has transformed cardiovascular imaging research into advanced software solutions designed to support clinicians, researchers and healthcare organisations worldwide.
Research at the heart of our story
CASIS grew out of a long-standing collaboration between cardiovascular imaging specialists, researchers and software engineers at the University of Burgundy and Dijon University Hospital.
What began in the late 1990s as an academic project to improve cardiac MRI analysis gradually evolved into an international MedTech company developing advanced cardiovascular imaging software and artificial intelligence solutions.
Our history is built on a continuous dialogue between scientific research, clinical practice and technological innovation.
Key milestones from the late 1990s to 2025–2026
Researchers and clinicians in Dijon began developing new methods to quantify and analyse cardiovascular MRI examinations more accurately
QIR—Quantified Imaging Resources—was registered by the University of Burgundy. The first academic version extracted key physiological parameters from cardiovascular MRI.
CASIS—CArdiac Simulation & Imaging Software—was founded to transform QIR into a regulated, clinically deployable cardiovascular imaging platform.
QIR obtained its first CE marking as a Class IIa medical device, marking the transition from research software to clinical solution.
CASIS joined the PACIFIC programme, focused on heart failure with preserved ejection fraction through clinical, biological and imaging data.
QIR Suite entered a new phase of commercial deployment and international expansion with clinical, research and industrial partners.
CASIS advances automation, AI and multimodal data analysis to simplify workflows and support faster, clearer information.
The next chapter
CASIS was founded on the belief that advanced cardiovascular imaging should provide clinicians with clearer, faster and more actionable information.
Our next chapter is to move beyond the analysis of individual examinations and progressively integrate imaging, clinical and biological data to support a more comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular disease.
Through artificial intelligence, automation and multimodal analysis, we aim to help healthcare professionals identify relevant information more efficiently and support better-informed clinical decisions.
Technology must serve physicians — and ultimately improve care for patients.
